Lake Region Arts Council offers two different Artist Cohort Programs.

Programs alternate every other year. The current Artist of Color Cohort runs 2023-24 and is funded by McKnight Foundation. The Legacy Artist Cohort will run from 2024-25 and is funded by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The programs’ purpose is to help artists identify and work on achieving their professional goals.

The Artist Cohort Program, funded by the MN Legacy Fund and alternating yearly with the Artist of Color Cohort program, is a 10-month long program that selects 6 artists to participate. Artists of all disciplines with a strong commitment to their art are chosen based on geographic representation in the LRAC service area. Cohorts in this program will have:
